The boy's basketball team wins big against the Gaylesville Trojans on Tuesday 56 to 17. This puts the team at 3 wins and 3 losses to start the season. Devan Bruce was the top scorer in the Gaylesville game with 15 points. Bruce was followed by Cory Bethune, Heath and Hunter Ivester with 9 points each. Isaac Thomas had a good game as he had 5 steals that night. John Rollins, Scott Lively, Devan Bruce, and Bobby Jones all came out on top with 4 rebounds each. The Bulldogs will be facing the Lafayette Ramblers again this Friday starting with JV teams at 4:00pm and the Varsity girls at 7:00, followed by the boys Varsity. Fans should wear black to support our BLACKOUT tonight. |

The Lady Dogs kicked off their season Thursday against Model and came up a little short, but they had some exciting plays. "We are working to build our team and are anticipating a good season. There are a lot of positive leaders on our team and hopefully we can pull out some victories." says Coach Marcia Thompson. Support our ladies this season. |

Trion High School has kicked off their wrestling season with several wrestlers placing in last week's tournament. "We have a young team this year, but we are working some different moves. These boys will come along," according to team coach Eric Brock. Middle School wrestlers are off to a good start with a strong team this year. "Some of those boys have been wrestling since they were five years old and have the potential to be State Champs one day, " added Brock. Good luck to both teams this season. See slide show. |

Although temperatures have been sweltering, Trion High and Middle School teams have been on the field everyday preparing for the upcoming scrimmage against Chattooga on August 19. Coach Justin Brown says, "Kids and coaches have been working hard, and we are excited about the upcoming season. We hope to use this scrimmage to help us with our scheduled games this season."
