Baseball at Trion has always been a well-liked sport with long time supporters from the JW Greenwood days who still attend games regularly today. Coach Jason Lanham has had his boys practicing and and conditioning for awhile now. "We have a lot of experienced players and are still shaping our team each day," So far, the team has a 8-2 record and continues to bring competition to the field. "We have been playing good defense. All we need to do is get our bats swinging a little more," says Junior Mason Thompson. Trion is headed to Bowdon today and will host Gordon Lee this Friday night with a double header. Good luck Dogs!

The HS and JV tennis teams have been hitting the courts steadily since the end of January hoping for a winning season. The boys team has a 3-2 record, with the girls team looking at a 2-3 record. "Our boys are more experienced while many of our girls are just getting their feet wet. Building those court skills takes time and dedication, along with hustle, according to coaches this season. "In addition, competing with 4A schools or players who have sponsors or compete in travel tennis can be quite challenging. Check front page for posted schedules. Come out and support your tennis team this spring!
